Upgrading from a X-Can V8
Time for an upgrade! New tubes/PSU or new Amp? Imaging is the most important thing.. Setup: Denon LA5000's X-Can V8 Audio-gd DAC - 19 DSP I was leaning more towards buying a new amp than an upgrade because I'd prefer an amp with two pairs of line-in outputs, but just...- Disarray

I have a Xonar STX, I want to connect it to my Audio-Gd Dac 19 The specifications for the Xonar STX are very confusing to me as I've been reading and from what I've gathered A Square terminator = TOS-Link And the round digital optical terminator on the Xonar STX = Miniplug ...- Disarray

What are the best RCA + SPDIF Cables to connect...?
I have a X-can V8 which has your typical RCA inputs, but the ones on the DAC I just bought look a little different and are longer Btw the Dac is a Audio-Gd 19 DSP Is that something I need to take into account when picking an RCA audio cable or does it make no difference? And...- Disarray

Need DAC recommendations, budget 300-600 Dollars
Quote: Great, I'm new this is what I need to know My Xonar STX has a Spif so no problem, right? I read something though about how in some setups a amp to dac to sound card can lead to a sound delay, would this occur in this instance? As that would be a problem. Quote:- Disarray

Need DAC recommendations, budget 300-600 Dollars
I know it does, but I can run a dac and amp through it anyway can I not? I want to do this mainly for convenience because as of right now I have to switch the cord between my sound card and Amp manually as I go between gaming and everything else. (As of now I have my amp connected via usb) ...- Disarray

Best amp for Denon D2000's
Well as I said I'd go higher if my cut off price cost me significant quality by a hundred or 2 under, but I'd like to spend under 600 so the v8 definitely fits the bill.- Disarray

Best amp for Denon D2000's
Ya I'm new, I bought the headphones second hand and planned on buying the amp second hand as well. I was looking at buying a x-can v8 as I've seen several posts saying it's great with the Denons. I'm just worried about one thing, I read something about some amps causing delays, I plan on...- Disarray

Best amp for Denon D2000's
Well thanks for the reply, but it's not about powering them, I know my sound card is more than capable of powering them from what I've read. What I want is a quality amp that will make them sound better. From what I've gathered on this site a good amp can more than improve the sound of these...- Disarray

Best amp for Denon D2000's
Just bought some D2000's with a blue dragon cable, I'd like some amp suggestions, through searching I've gathered I should go with a tube amp, but outside of that idk. Also imaging is of the utmost importance. / Classical music (same difference) Budget wise I'd like to keep it under...- Disarray

Phones just broke, need help picking new ones.
The HD650's seem to be the ones to get from what I've read, but I heard they squeeze your head and they are made of plastic. The DT990 sounds interesting, but their less than 200 and I was really looking for a upgrade over my 7509's what else?- Disarray

Phones just broke, need help picking new ones.
I have a pair of Sony MDR-7509's that just broke and I'm in the market for some new headphones. I'd like to keep the price under 600, but can go higher if I have to. I loved my 7509's but there are a few things I hated about them that I'd prefer be absent from my next pair. ...- Disarray
