Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum, Grado SR325i, NAD HP50, Beyer Tesla DT1350 or Shure SRH940? Open to alternatives.
I am still considering the HD600's as an alternative to the HE-400's (if I do decide to lean this way). I can't say for sure but, a faster phone is probably better for me. Thank you for the link! Mad Dogs are also looking more and more likely although I am worried about their...- naeropagnis

Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum, Grado SR325i, NAD HP50, Beyer Tesla DT1350 or Shure SRH940? Open to alternatives.
Thank you :) I have asked in the Mikros thread if they know any ways of getting it but I think I'll live if I miss out on them. Quote: Sorry, probably a noob question but what do you mean by they approximate the new target curve?- naeropagnis

Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum, Grado SR325i, NAD HP50, Beyer Tesla DT1350 or Shure SRH940? Open to alternatives.
So I was just about to pull the trigger on the Mikros 90s only to find out that I can't find reliable way to get them in NZ. I could ship from ebay but that would cost me another $80, almost the same as the phones so it really doesn't feel worth it. So now, all my money is pretty much focused...- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
So I made my mind up on these, however there is a slight problem. Does anyone know a site that ships these to NZ? Amazon doesn't, the one I could find from an NZ site costs $65 more and has an unreliable product warning and the Sonic Electronix site are out of stock. Anyone aware of other...- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Thank you :) What about the RE-400s? I've heard they require more amping so I'm not sure if C&C BHs will be enough.- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
So general consesus indicates that the Hifimediy Sabre USB DAC and C&C BH amp work well with the Mikros, but would they be powerful enough to use on other headphones such as the RE-400 and Grado SR225is? (This is basically the last thing I'm trying to work out before making my decision.) ...- naeropagnis

Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum, Grado SR325i, NAD HP50, Beyer Tesla DT1350 or Shure SRH940? Open to alternatives.
I'm incredibly indecisive but I think I've narrowed it down significantly. I emailed a nearby store and can have a listen to the NAD HP50s and make a decision about comfort. However I also have another option which could preferable; getting the Mikros with a relatively cheap amp and DAC and...- naeropagnis

Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum, Grado SR325i, NAD HP50, Beyer Tesla DT1350 or Shure SRH940? Open to alternatives.
I've crossed Amperior, Momentums and Shures off my list. My main concern is that the Mikros 90s might be too revealing for poor quality recordings (currently investigating this). Also the Philips Fidelio x1, Senn HD600 and HD650s are going for relatively cheap, anyone think they're worth looking...- naeropagnis

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any experience pairing these up with the Hifimediy Sabre USB dac? Also are the comfort problems really so bad that numerous people end up returning them?- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
My sources will be an iPod video (rockboxed), iPod touch 3rd gen and my laptop (will almost always be used with this). Is it worth getting both an amp and DAC?- naeropagnis

New Zealand meet, May 24th in Auckland
I'm extremely interested but don't have much experience in audio so this could be a great opportunity. Unfortunately, I am looking at buying some headphones (although nothing too expensive) and this could lead to a horrendous outcome on my wallet. Has anyone indicated they're bringing any mid-fi...- naeropagnis

Seriously considering these now. By mods are you referring to changing the cable and getting an amp/DAC? If I plan on using this from a laptop am I right in assuming a DAC may serve more of a purpose? (I'll stick with my GR07s as portables)- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Because of the price (and all your hype) I'm extremely tempted to get these. If I do, would it be worth getting an amp/DAC (thinking FiiO E7) or should a new cable be the main focus? I am planning on using this mainly at home.- naeropagnis

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Okay so this thread has left me rather confused as to whether or not I should get these. I love the sound of my GR07 mkII's but want to get a headphone so this looks like a good option plus it's really cheap at the moment. But I listen to post hardcore and metalcore so even though everything I...- naeropagnis

Hey guys I was just wondering if I could get some advice as to whether or not I should get the RE0s. I currently have the Meelec CX21 but I want to upgrade and I'm tempted to try an analytical IEM before jumping in and paying $200 for something like the GR07.
