two questions about the new ear hooks? are they more durable than the old ones? I had to upgrade to the 3d printed style partly because the audeze brand kept breaking. do they slide back and forth easily when you adjust the angle of the headphones or are they grippy against the headphones? thanks

yeah, even putting a cell phone too close to any modern headphone amp will induce some types of signal noise. Maybe not the same as what you are referring to, but some of this will happen on any headphones.

seems like you have full control so you could just try using any of the settings we have posted here. I am not sure if you have access to low or high shelf but otherwise you could match them exactly.

I can't believe anyone could listen to these with the analogue cable and no eq. It sounds unbearable to me, but hey, whatever works for you.

you can wedge a very small folded up piece of paper on the side of the connector as you slide it in and it will hold them snug. I had that issue on a pair that I ultimately had replaced under warranty.

Great! Yeah i've tweaked around so much with this current version that it's all a blur and hard to say what sounds better anymore. And if you're using a different type of eq it's definitely not going to sound the same to you anyway.
