Okay everything seems to be fine now. Heard back from Audio-gd. I think there was a delay in getting a part or something. But my DAC is being shipped out, so I'm satisfied. 

Also I had to pay my own shipping back to China, which was an additional $70, which makes it even more frustrating.

I've done a lot of thinking about this actually. A Buttkicker would work better than a subwoofer due to it only being physical vibrations and not musical notes. It would give the illusion of a subwoofer without the phasing.   You still need to route the audio signal through a crossover...

I was considering the headband but personally I like the look of the stock foam better. The headband might be slightly more comfortable and less damageable than the foam, but it's a matter of whether that's worth $50 to you.

Runs off my iphone just fine. Pretty low impedance cans. Can get the volume up aroud 70-75% before its too loud.

I've had both. Still have the HD25-1 ii. The TMA-1s are definitely better for listening to bass heavy music. Its dynamics are laid back and the bass is warm and enveloping. HD25-1 ii otoh is tight and punchy. Not overwhelming bass but solid. Its highs can get a little fatiguing over long periods...

Aiaiai TMA-1   Bought on site based on looks alone. Sounded decent in the store but when I got them home found they were too bass bloated on everything, so I quickly sold them off.
