I flip flop between black true fit, black star tip, and the comply T100. I think I prefer them in that order too. I get the cleanest sound out of the black true fit. Also agree that shallower tips are better. Longer tips tend to attenuate too much sound.

  Westone IEMs have never had a flared flange tip on the nozzle stem to help hold the tip in place - it's never needed something like that as tips do not randomly slide off. And having had owned 4 Westone IEMs to date, I can safely say, none of them had an issue with tips coming off too easily...
