Any pro solderers, help soldering new mini jacks?
I have 2 Sennheisers hd238s with busted mini jack connectors. Ive tried soldering new jacks but they always end up losing connection. Any pro solderers out there who could offer their skills? I would foot all the shipping costs and materials and some sort of payment for your pro services.- sohcahtoa

PS3 to headphone amp to speakers
Thanks fraggler and gochuckster, for your 2cents! Nice to find people who have been down my road. Yeah, I just discovered the Nuforce Icon last night, and it looks like a great solution for a good set of bookshelf passive speakers. My main focus is on Speaker-use, I guess you could say. I...- sohcahtoa

connecting headphones to ps3?
NXG (NX-572) Double RCA Audio Coupler - RadioShack.com You need something like above, called a Double RCA Coupler. You plug the RCA from the PS3 into one end. In the other end of the Coupler, you plug a standard RCA cable, and the other end of this RCA Cable goes into your headphone amp. -
PS3 to headphone amp to speakers
I am not sure if this is the right category for this thread, but I thought this would be a place to start. Reading the title, some of you may be thinking, why doesn't this guy get a Home Theater Receiver? Well, the reason is space. I have a very small "living room" in my apartment, and I am...- sohcahtoa

connecting headphones to ps3?
I have a similar setup. A PS3 connected via hdmi to my 24" Dell S2409W, and then a mini to mini cable from my Dell LCD to a FIO E5 headphone amp. From the FIO e5, I either plug in headphones or my Logitech mm50 (ipod speaker) through the aux-in. The AV Multi-Link cable does come with all... -
best 128mb flash player?
How about either the Rio S10 or S30s? Slap a 256mb sd card in there, and you have a 320mb player for $130.- sohcahtoa

iPod Mini Questions
Well after having sung its praises, I did some closer listening this weekend, and have to agree with ezra. To my ears, the Mini does not sound as "full" as the 3g ipod (both headphone jack & line-out). The sound is "thinner" with some brightness to compensate. That said, the sound is still very...- sohcahtoa

iPod Mini Questions
I got 6 hours on my first charge. The battery meter was down to a sliver, but not completely discharged (which is something you don't want to do ). Since then, I believe I get more than 6 hrs. In general, people have reported the Mini to have better battery life than the ipod 3g. I never need...- sohcahtoa

My ipod mini review
One thing I've found about the mini is that, for me, it hits a certain 'sweet spot' in terms of size (no pun intended). 4gb is alot easier to manage than 20gb (duh, i know). With 4gb, you can fit anywhere between 40-60 CDs, depending on your encoding. This is enough to store, say, the last 10...- sohcahtoa

iPod Mini Questions
I am also pleased as punch with my ipod mini. People who gripe too much about poor GB/$ value miss the point. This player is just alittle bit bigger than most flash-based players! The design/build is an improvement in every way over the 3G ipod. First of all the casing is anondized and very...- sohcahtoa

Drum 'n' Bass
Oh they released volume 3, didn't even know, gonna have to check that out I didn't really like volume 2, (except for the dilinja, peshay, lemon d, & hidden agenda tracks) curious to see what they got this time around. -
Drum 'n' Bass
mike, those compilation CD's really run the whole gamut of "Electronica" music: breakbeat, drum'n'bass, progressive house, etc. There are alot of these little niche genres. Dieselboy is pretty aggro stuff......if you like the J Magik or Ed Rush tracks on those compilation discs, I reccomend... -
Sound editing software - specific question
I use Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge, though it is not cheap; they do offer a budget version though. I don't work much with files that long. With Sound Forge, it does take some time to load a really long file, and cutting from the beginning of a long file takes some time (if enable undo)...what the...- sohcahtoa

IPOD or the Zen: Serious repsonses only
You should check out the messageboards at Apple at discussions.info.apple.com I have been surfing the Ipod Usage boards some, and it appears that there is battery-drain problem with the latest firmware. There also are rumors that Apple may start a battery replacement plan, but no official word...- sohcahtoa

Another iPod/NJB3/Zen thread
I don't think the Zen comes with a remote, but there supposedly is one TBA. I know I might get flamed for this, but Hard drive based MP3 players are not recommended to be used while jogging, mountain biking, etc. I think by doing so, you shorten the life-span of your device. Another thing to...- sohcahtoa
