[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

On the FiiO forums other users seem to be having issues as well. Maybe use a different app such as Poweramp until the issues are resolved?

H320 fell down the toilet (2)

Indeed, Danneq!  After tinkering around with this some more: cleaning the mainboard, reflashing the firmware, etc, everything appears to once again be in perfect working order!

H320 fell down the toilet (2)

Back from the dead!?   I dug the H320 "toilet diver" out of the junk drawer today, on a whim.  The unit powered on (with the battery removed, on AC) and Rockbox started!  No more hissing and whining noises coming from the chipboard.  Looks like the battery was shorted and the motherboard was...

H320 fell down the toilet (2)

Indeed, it's a sad day. I think I will hold off and wait for a slate-style mobile internet device that has full HD playback. There should be a bunch of them coming this summer. Meanwhile, I'll go back to using casette tapes

Wow, Cowon S9 is looking really good. I might have to go with that.

H320 fell down the toilet (2)

I'm not the first, but I might be the last person to drop their H320 down the toilet. It was in my pocket and slipped out when I stood up, plunging into the toilet and taking a full (not-very-clean) bath. I disassembled it, dabbed it with a paper towel, and let it dry out completely for 24...

Amp+DAC paired with HD 25-1 II

It was a greatly noticeable difference to me as well. Stock HD25 cable to stock HD600/650 cable (resoldered the plug to 3.5mm). You should definitely try it first, it's a $15 experiment; if you still want improved sound quality at that point, then go ahead and invest in a portable amp.

Do you recognize this tune? (probably 80s / new wave)

Found it! The song was "The Church - Under The Milky Way" YouTube - The Church- Under The Milky Way

Do you recognize this tune? (probably 80s / new wave)

Let's Go To Bed isn't the one I'm searching for, but I really appreciate the effort! I swear, the vocalist really sounds like the guy from the Cure... but that might be a false lead, I bet it's a different band that just sounds sort of similar. Anyhow, if any other ideas pop up for anyone...

Do you recognize this tune? (probably 80s / new wave)

All I can remember is a small snippet, which I've recorded myself whistling. gah_what_is_this.mp3 The song is probably from the 80's, likely fitting into the New Wave genre. It features a male vocalist, has drums, and probably guitar. I think it sounds like something the Cure might play...

    Recabling hd25-1 hd 25-1 experiences?

Switched from stock HD25 to stock HD650/600 cable: Plug: Neutrik NYS231BG Source: iRiver H320 - FLAC files ripped from CD To me this makes all the difference. They sound richer, warmer, more detailed. I wanted to sell them before the recable but they're perfect for me now... these are...

Sennheiser HD25-1 II cable upgrade help!?

For ~$20 you can use the hd650/600 stock and reterminate w/ 3.5mm plug. Recommend Neutrik NYS231BG -- cheap, looks really sharp, no heatshrink necessary. In my opinion the difference is PHENOMENAL. If you're new to soldering, there's no better time to start! I learned how to solder from...

Electromagnetic interference -- new sound card, or amp?

I'm looking for a solution to my crappy integrated ALC888 soundcard. I get tons of electromagnetic interference (static sounds, bleeps, blips, etc), which kind of defeats the purpose of using decent headphones or speakers. Just wondering what my best option is. ASIO4all seems to work well...

    Eee PC...

For your purposes, eightbit, I think the EeePC is a good buy. Your concerns are very well-placed: the small screen can be a huge strain! However, in my opinion the 7" screen is completely usable - for short periods of time. The reason I decided that I couldn't keep the EeePC was because I...
