Sennheiser HD25-1 II cable upgrade help!?

Just to bring up this topic again...

Is there any decent cable that can be used to make a single sided cord for the HD25's, terminated on 3.5mm?

I know I'm dreaming, but... For portable use + DJ work, I think it would make sense.

I've tried a HD650 cable on them and they do definitely sound different, I think they have lost their 'unique' sound and sound more like normal headphones now, if that makes any sense

. The only thing is of course that cable is double sided and terminates on 6.5mm :/.

For ~$20 you can use the hd650/600 stock and reterminate w/ 3.5mm plug.

Recommend Neutrik NYS231BG -- cheap, looks really sharp, no heatshrink necessary.

In my opinion the difference is PHENOMENAL. If you're new to soldering, there's no better time to start! I learned how to solder from head-fi, myself.

Call sennheiser!! They have a single sided, 10 foot, 1/4 terminated, copper cable for the HD-25's!! I called and ask if a copper, single sided cable was available, was really surprised when I got a call back the next day saying...yeah, there is.
