I read it has great synergy with SR325i, but what about the RS1 and GS1000?

Depending on what kind of music you listen to the most. K701 is great for classical and new age w/ little bass. I don't have HD595, so no comment on it.

I'll let you know when I get my GS1000 and MS-Pro. Hopefully, I'll get them in a week or two... the waiting game is painful.

I'm in the same boat as you. Got HD650 and K701 for a year, and wanted to see what else is out there. I recently purchase a GS1000 and MS-Pro. I'll probably get them in 2-3 wks. I'll let you know how these upgrades work out in a month or so -- that is if you can wait that long.

DA100/DV336i combo DA100 is very detailed, DV336i is a tube amp (which says it all). You won't want to listen to anything else.

Finally got my DA100. What a difference a dedicated DAC makes vs. the iPod dock. On HD650, the background rain drops of Cirque Du Soleil, Varekai finally sounds like tiny droplets as oppose to little rocks dropping (clicking) on the ground. HD650 isn't as muddy too. Not sure how a DAC can...

It's like desktop pc vs. laptop. Desktop will also beat laptop at same price in terms of speed.
