Ah yes, I missed the 'New' bit. Sorry ignore my post then. Would actually like to hear what the comparisons are myself.- markwilliamsweb

Philips Fidelio L2
Yes I have the Momentum over ear. They are both great headphones, however I personally prefer the L2. It is brighter and has a more immediate fun sound. I would say it doesn't have a much bass as the Momentum, but the L2 isn't bass light, it hits hard in all the right places. I also find the...- markwilliamsweb

The Fiio X5 Thread
Just in case anyone hasn't noticed, there is a new firmware available for the X5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/piaa7l1x9flrpg1/X5%20FW2.50.zip?dl=0. The changelog is as follows: Support for exFAT-formatted microSD cards; Fixed issue where changing tracks through Favorites easily caused...- markwilliamsweb

The Fiio X5 Thread
I have been playing with my X5 for a few days now. I really love the sound and build quality, although like others have said, the wheel isn't the best. I do have a few gripes though. I think the thing that annoys me the most is navigating through artists. I have hundreds of artists to scroll...- markwilliamsweb

The Fiio X5 Thread
Yeah I just like having the media controls on my keyboard to skip tracks etc and browsing through my library on MusicBee. It would have been nice to make use of the DAC whilst doing this, but no big deal. I have just pulled the trigger and ordered the X5, should get it tomorrow, so...- markwilliamsweb

Ah that's a shame, but not a deal breaker. I already have Fiio E7, so can just use that as my DAC. Or like you said just take them out and use them in a usb adapter.- markwilliamsweb

Thanks for the reply JaZZ. One more question if you don't mind. Can you put the music files in any folder structure you like and does the X5 retain that structure? It doesn't do any auto rearranging and sorting for you does it?- markwilliamsweb

The Fiio X5 Thread
Does anyone know if you can use this like a hard drive, when attached to your computer? What I ideally want to do is have all of my music on the X5, spread over 2 sd cards, then when plugged into my computer I want to use MusicBee as my audio player and play the files directly off the X5. At...- markwilliamsweb

Philips Fidelio L2
Yeah that's spot on. The Momentum has good bass, but it's slower and not as impactful. It's in part what makes the L2 a more engaging fun headphone. The L2 isn't bass shy though, it hits hard in all the right places and if you are into electronic/dance music then it's a great choice.- markwilliamsweb

Philips Fidelio L2
I own the Momentum and prefer the L2. The Momentum is a great sounding headphone, but is more laid back in its presentation and has a more rolled off treble. I have heard both the P5 and P7. I wouldn't bother with the P5, the Momentum, L2 and P7 all outclass it. From what I can remember the...- markwilliamsweb

Philips Fidelio L2
The pads seem good quality to me, so I can't see them degrading anytime soon, but don't quote me on that ;) Yes I think the L2 is much clearer than the L1. I owned the L1 for a short time, but sent it back as I didn't think much to the clarity, but did like the nice warm bass signature. I...- markwilliamsweb

Philips Fidelio L2
IMO the L2 is much more fun engaging sound and if you listen to bass heavy music, it should be perfect for it. The L1 has more bass but lacks clarity. The earpads aren't removable, which is one of the big complaints about the Fidelio range.- markwilliamsweb

Review: Philips Fidelio L1 [Updated 5/14]
Personally I would go with the L2, they are an outstanding set of headphones. I owned the L1 for a bit, but wasn't impressed, so sent them back. The L2 is much better imo although it doesn't have as much bass as the L1, it is a lot more revealing and fun. I too am looking at getting the X2 at...- markwilliamsweb
