    Thanks for the input... I do have the time (retired) to take on a project like this... I'm curious why wouldn't you use an internal sound card? And what kind of external cards are you referring to? I sure I would have to get better cartridge for my TT, I'm sure the one on it is toast...

    Receiver or Headphone amp?
