I have never even seen an X5 much less heard one so no comment. However, I have 3 Creative Zens and I have to disagree on the overly bright sound. Nano+, Sleek Photo and Vision:M 60 all sound very full, smooth, great bass and flowing full highs. Phones are KSC35 or HD600 with Total Airhead...

Pattie got an 05 Mazda 3 in May. Great little car. Very good performance for what it is, good room, good handling and we haven't noticed any lag in the transmission. Of course, if I'm pushing it I shift it manually but There really isn't much need to push it to blow away the "F*rt can" equipped...
