Quote: I wouldn't worry too much. Only if you fell into a puddle or something lol. Maybe let them sit a while to make sure they're dry before you listen again. The pads should be fine. Hand wash them if they smell (think baby shampoo.) If it's too much to worry about just leave 'em at home.

Upgrading my amp for my SR325is

So, I recently sent my Little Dot 1+ back to China for repair. Before it gets back (this afternoon actually,) I'll have a shiny new HRT Music Streamer II to source it with. The upgrade bug has hit me again...   I've been considering a bunch of amps in the $300 range. The Schiit Asgard...

I was perusing another thread (Grado appreciation IIRC) and someone (I forget who) mentioned this guy (I forget if he's on head-fi): http://www.martincustomaudio.com/p/aluminum-gimbals-rodblocks.html   But hey, the site exists so I haven't forgotten everything, lol Some really, really neat...

    Little Dot 1+ Problem

Hi all.   I've been very, very pleased with my Little Dot 1+, uDAC-2, and Grado 325is combination which I've had for the past year. However, somethings gone wrong with the amp, and I was hoping someone around here had an idea of what could be done to fix it.   The problem is this: The...

    Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones

Quote: I can beat that;  recently caught a friend doing that with his OLD apple buds.   He's since bought some Senns, so there's a happy ending.

V-Moda Crossfades. First time to see 'em in person. I think they look pretty good.

    2011 College Football Thread

Quote: Yeah, there were awful calls made that favored both sides and that one near the end might not have mattered had we not allowed Mini-McCoy his 25 yard scramble the very next play .   But I agree with the announcers here; he definitely look like he was trying to stop himself...

    2011 College Football Thread

So who watched the A&M - Texas game? I was there in person. Dissappointing. I suppose we (A&M) really should have routed them, but all those turnovers cost us any chance of that. I suppose some many will complain about the personal foul called at the end (my God we were beyond pissed ) but...

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

Quote: Eh it doesn't sound to me like she had any idea what Stax was, and once she found out she changed her tune. It sounds like she was just giving him a hard time anyway, probably knowing his interest in headphones. We were all uninformed at some point

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

Quote: This issue has pretty much always annoyed my father, an engineer. In general, he says, engineers don't understand marketing; the reason for this being that given a certain amount of funding and time a team of engineers will spend it all creating the perfect product without...

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

This was in Arlington. Believe me, I was quite surprised as well; they had the AKG Q701s and the Shure 240s. The Ultrasones, oddly, were over in the other half of the store with all of the gaming headsets.

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

I think I may have recently ruined or made someone's day at Fry's. My friend and I were trying to find something to blow a gift card on, and we were looking at their headphone selection. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good assortment of "good" brands including Sennheiser, Ultrasone, Shure...
