Help needed: Connecting a 220V power supply to a Headroom "Little"
Thanks for the answer. My Little is from 2001 or so and on the PSU module it says +/-12V @150mA so I may only put on 12V and see if that is enough. Now I just need to figure out which of the wires is the ground and I will be good to go.- legoman

Help needed: Connecting a 220V power supply to a Headroom "Little"
When I was living in the US I had bought a Headroom Little. Now that I am in Europe I wanted to convert it to 220V. I thought this should be quite easy as there is a cheapy-looking external power supply. I thought I could just clip the cables and reconnect it to an off-the-shelf regulated 12V...- legoman

Cheaper/more robust headphone with similar insulation as ER-6?
After going through 2 pair of Ety ER-6s with cable contact issues, I am wondering whether there are any cheaper and/or more robust alternatives (sound quality not so important due to spoken word podcasts) with similar insulation (from subway noise / not wanting to disturb fellow passengers)...- legoman

ER-6 cable contact problems / robust alternatives?
I am on my second pair of ER-6 now. The first pair developed intermittent contact problems on both sides where the cables connect inside the earpieces, i.e. depending on cable/earpiece location the sound comes on/goes off. I bought another pair and after a few months of heavy use I am...- legoman

Ipod shuffle: Alternatives? / Fast forward?
I. Do I have any alternatives to the Ipod Shuffle? ----------------------------------------------- - I am looking for something in the $/€ 100 range; $/€ 150 is absolute max - I hate AAA rechargeables, I want something I can ideally charge on my laptop (which is always with me). I don't...- legoman

Sportsnight, definitely. Essentially the networks have a basic rule: If I like it, they cancel it. Notable exception: Scrubs.- legoman

Printing: What is economical?
Laser printer all the way. Cost per page is a fraction of inkjet and you are not running out every week getting a new cartridge. The only thing to watch out for is sticker shock for the toner cartridge (e.g. $100, but then again it prints 5,000+pages).- legoman

BMW 1 Series?
From what I hear, it is still very questionable whether a sedan version will come out. The U.S. marketing department is of course really clamoring for one, but in Germany, e.g., sedans are often considered, ugly, impractical, and for older people.- legoman

Photos of...umm...my photo stuff
Re. Leica. It is all a question of money. I use my friend's M7 once in a while, but it is still quite big and heavy. Nothing like some of the 70s fixed lens rangefinders which are truly pocketable. The viewfinder is to die for, though, and I hear the Bessa's comes very close and some even like...- legoman

Which of the Lowepro bags is it exactly? Does it have enough space for the other stuff one drags around on a day trip? (Water, raingear, a book, a notepad etc.?) I really like the idea but in the end, I've realized I just don't like to lug around a lot of stuff. Often just going out with...- legoman

International Calling Cards?
I've been using BigZoo for years. Pretty reliable, no connection fees, you get detailed billing (so you know where your money goes and minutes do not just disappear) and you can program in pin skip so I don't have to punch in all those numbers when calling from my home or office. In the old days...- legoman
