After going through 2 pair of Ety ER-6s with cable contact issues, I am wondering whether there are any cheaper and/or more robust alternatives (sound quality not so important due to spoken word podcasts) with similar insulation (from subway noise / not wanting to disturb fellow passengers).

Any recommendations welcome.
