You know the drill.

You have to take your girlfiend to a movie. She wants to see a sappy, "sensitive" movie.

Which are your best boyfriend/girlfriend or "help to score because she thinks I'm 'Mister Sensitive'" movies?

my nominations:

Fools Rush In - Matthew Perry & Selma Hayek.
The Cutting Edge - D.B. Sweeney & Moira Kelly
Family Man - Nicolas Cage & Tea Leoni

if I had to pick a fourth, it would have to be "Ball Room Dancing".

The Dirty Dozen can not be listed. <'Sleepless in Seattle'..."Men never get this movie.">

Lasse Hallström's My Life as a Dog.

World through the eyes of a Swedish boy whose mother is dying... and so soon will his dog.

Not sappy, but you can't get more sensitive.

You will score big points here, and it's not nearly as depressing as it sounds. Plus subtitles!

Well with my girlfriend (No, I'm not joking!):

The Transporter - Shows that you are sensitive to interesting direction and decent action.

The Matrix - Shows that you are sensitive to the fact that Neo is Jesus.

Heat - Shows that you are sensitive to good chemistry.

Momento - Shows that you are sensitive to strange narrative styles.

Yeah... she's a keeper!

in my youth, the chick flicks to see were Ice Castles and The Other Side Of The Mountain...

actually the other side of the mountain is based on a true story so it would be worth seeing for that reason...Ice castles has a similar theme and a decent soundtrack...

I think As good as it gets is a really nice compromise, as it has plenty of comedy and just a bit of romance. Jack Nicholson is really stealing the entire show here and you won't mind at all.

Grinch, chasing amy? are you kidding? I was thinking of saying that as a joke, it's a good movie to bum out your GF, but not really a good way to earn points.

Good movies to earn points with your GF... hmmmm, maybe monsoon wedding? A good fun movie that any girl will love...

I've found that spinal tap works suprisingly well

Come on, that's one of the worst movies ever. I'm not sure any woman is worth sitting through it.

With GF I either watch good drama like malcom X, or some comedy like Shrek, Monty Python movies.
