I was able to get a replacement for my malfunctioning DX50 and now things are working well except for the fact that it's fairly noisy with my SE535's (as compared to the Fiio X3 II which I had before). Weirder still, the quietest gain level is paradoxically the "HI" setting and as you turn it...- mrselfdestruct

ok cool but do you think that the junk on the card would cause the DX50 to crash so often? like it literally crashes pretty much every time I play something, usually after just a couple of minutes.- mrselfdestruct

Paul, is there a version of the tag cleaner that would work on my Mac? It also seems a bit strange for the device to need a wipe the first day it was used, no?- mrselfdestruct

hey man, did both of those things. updated firmware as soon as I got it, then did the Factory Reset. when that didn't work, did the reset again and still the same problems. the player also has trouble scanning my memory card, occasionally getting only maybe 10% of the files, and then being...- mrselfdestruct

PLEASE DELETE: What to do about Future Sonics low mids hump?
Hey guys, haven't posted here in a good long time but finally decided to get into the IEM game (owned some Shure E2C's a couple of years back but that doesnt really count). I initially got a pair of the Altec-Lansing rebadged Super-fi 3's (way too middy and generally not too detailed) and then...- mrselfdestruct

Best Portable Headphone Amp for around $100-150?
Jesus, didn't expect this to be such a contentious topic haha Anywho, many thanks for all the replies. A few questions: Being that the V7 is effectively unavailable, do you guys like the V6 at all? Where can one obtain one of these Mini^3's? Would a Headsix, Minibox-E or Mini^3 be...- mrselfdestruct

Best Portable Headphone Amp for around $100-150?
So I'm sure this is a topic that has been done to death at this point, but I thought I'd ask anyway: Can you guys give recommendations on portable amps for 150 bucks or less? I'm using primarily an iPod/Mac laptop and Grado SR60's, Sony 7506's and Shure E2C's. At some point will most likely...- mrselfdestruct
