Yeah, this has now been well described and studied. The " trust my ears" are easily fooled. There is a whole area of science on psychoaccoustics. But hey, people can spend there money as they wish. However, the differences they think they hear is not a universal truth applicable to others...- sydneyaudio

So you guys like to chat about the sonic benefits of 64A IEMs, but think they are wrong about cable theory? Where were you guys before? You could have made easy money. There waz a $1million open challenge to prove audible differences between cables... guess what.... no one could claim the...- sydneyaudio

I thought the cable myth was busted years ago? Its not a change in sound, but psychological effects? No one passed the blind test challenges 10-15 yrs ago. Having said that I changed my 64A cables. I hated the feel of the stock cables.- sydneyaudio

I have a Gustard H10 which is a beast and I thought would be overkill for IEMs, but no hiss and works well. Also have a Topping Dx7s and E1DA 9038D. The Monarch is not hard to drive at all, although my Nio is easier, and the Mest mkII needs extra grunt. My impression these days is that amps are...- sydneyaudio

Been trying the Mest mkII, and the soundstage is closer thany anything else to the Odin. Obviously a bit less deep bass than Monarch and more prominent mids. The Mest highs are more resolving than Monarch, which is better than Andromeda. But Odin remains king.- sydneyaudio

The red FiR 0 looks cool in the Nio. Makes the Nio sound very similar to the u12t in the midrange/treble.- sydneyaudio
