Even though I'm not buying anything from this drop I still went to each model and decided what would've been my 1st and 2nd choices.I know, the pressure is building.... going to turn off computer
And then now it hurts to see that some of my number 1 choices are still available....

Anyone knows why they are $700 more than a stock atrium? Usually I see $300-400 more for the limited versions.

Congrats to all who got what they wanted!
I've agonized since Wednesday over which of the stabilized Atrium Closed I would like to purchase, but ultimately none of them compelled me enough to pull the trigger. I haven't heard an AC yet, so that also weighed into my decision because at the price of more than $3k for most of the stabilized variants, I'd stand to lose around a third of that if I didn't like it and wanted to sell. I'd take that risk for "the one" (aesthetically speaking), so maybe next time! And if anyone has one they're thinking about moving on from please let me know!
Interestingly, all the ones I was considering are still available. All of the ones I had rejected from consideration were bought almost immediately. It's funny how different our tastes can be not only in aesthetics, but also in sound!

Congratulations!!! Those were my favourite of the stabilised.Got to snag these beauties!
Surprised AB didn’t fly off the shelves like November. I did note the cup matching and figuring on this batch of Burl wasn’t quite as attractive as the November drop which is why I’ve held off.
That and … CFO caught me looking.
Resin / stabilized units cost more. Also that model is a magnesium chassis and not aluminium. That also costs more.These are amazing:

Great. Thank you. Did not realize the nuances of the build. Knew about the limited and the resin but did not realize that there are other materials involved.
Wish I could get them. Maybe next time something similar is available.

Username checks out (I was starting to wonder…).It was between these and an Atrium Closed. I decided I didn't need another Atrium Closed (#11)
Since I didn’t pull the trigger on anything today I decided to treat myself to a trip to Audio 46…who knows what will happen!
PS Congrats to whoever grabbed Kilauea, that is one of the best-looking headphones ever made.

Well alright! I got my tie for first. Was trying for a Caldera Closed or an Atrium Open. The Caldera Open was my most recent addition from zmf (November's stabilized drop) and I've really come to love them but would also like a more isolated version for late night listening etc. And I absolutely love my Atrium Closed I got from the hot cup summer last year. Just have been reading how beloved the Atrium Open is so I really want to try it out.
I'm soooo glad I went with the Caldera Closed to try to get first because all three or four Atriums I had an eye on were the first to go(checked 10 seconds or so after drop) and I don't think I would have gotten one with my luck and timing. It looks like the Caldera Closed are the least popular of this drop so I chose correctly to not have to fight for it.
I've only been to Hawaii once as a kid but I spent most of my time on Moloka'i and it was such a magical place. Really think Zach and the team conjured up some of that magic in these babies!
