Man, everyone in this thread is sporting some major gear. After selling off a bunch of my nicer gear this summer, I won't have anywhere the level as the rest of the fellow attendees. I'm mostly coming to check out some ZMF headphones in person!
I was thinking it would be a little "different" to bring along gear that is obtainable to "the average consumer". I am sure 95% of other stuff that is brought over will be insanely great, and expensive. This is awesome because many enthusiasts may not have the opportunity for listening to top-level gear... or they can listen to other "stuff" that they may have passed on, and/or didn't have a chance to sample.
I'm coming from Korea, and don't know how much I am willing to pack with me on my way over, but... if I bring stuff, it will be amps and/or gear in the $500 range, along with my ZMF cans and a couple other headphones. Maybe someone might be curious about ZMF performance with the less expensive stuff. *shrug*

No worries I usually bring a variety of gear from entry level to more expensive gear as I have no problem with either. I’ll start with the Schiit stack and a Dragonfly Red and Chord Mojo then a Bottlehead Crack and end up with a Yggdrasil and Amps and Sound Kenzie and Audio GD Master 9 with a couple more in between so will have lots of bases covered.

Well tried to RSVP but don’t know if it went thru.

Oh boy, thinking about making the drive out from Cleveland for the event, will have to see where my schedule falls a little bit closer to the date! I'll wait to RSVP until I know for sure.

Is there room for two Glenn OTL amps though? I could bring a different tube setup from Zach's, along with some extras if people are curious about how rolling affects the amp. I would also bring my pretty Bottlehead Crackatwoa.

If you bring the OTL I'll bring my Gel3n, then at least it won't all be redundant or whatevers haha. But really even two Glenn OTL with different tube rolls would sound different so the more the better as well.

It's easier to listen to more gear if you bring less anyways - so please don't feel pressure to bring much!

EDIT: This is Zach BTW not realizing Bevin's account was signed in hahaha.

Oh my God I was so confused. I was like, Zach AND Bevin have GEL3Ns?! Talk about excessive lol.

But sounds good man, can't wait.

Every day I wake up and gaze out my window wondering when my beloved ZMFestivus will return. It turns out that day is today.

1) Of course
2) Saturday
3) The first ZMFestivus was a great experience. Great venue, great people. It gave me a whole new outlook on life. The air was clearer after ZMFestivus, the sky bluer.
4) We liked the city last time!

But the JDS Labs boys are pretty chill dudes so we're ok with whatever the people decide. Super Excited!

At events like this do the JDS Labs boys sell gear to attendees at a discount or anything? Like say if I produce 80 in cash and slide it over with a wink to a JDS Labs boyo, he/she might slide me an Atom amp in exchange? just wink if you are unable to answer me directly

I think we might be able to part with some of our show/demo gear if there's interest! We've actually never sold out of a show before but there's a first time for everything!

Folks, just a quick nfo on the ZMFestivus II: we'll be there too!

Not only this, we might show something very cool! We won't say what it is just yet, but we truly do look forward to October! See you on the spot!

So excited to read the comments here. As a newbie, I'm really interested in experiencing what "tube rolling" is all about, in a setting where I'm hoping questions about the dark art are ok. :)

Come find me at the event, I'm a tube junkie, I'd be happy to show you what tube rolling is all about :)

Reading the updated initial post with event details, loving the pics of the venue and (I'm assuming) the previous event. Coolio!

I don't have much gear since I'm just starting out in the hobby, but will share that I'm planning to bring my Cayin N8 DAP and my Audeze LCD-Xs. I'm curious to how the N8 will sound with the Verites (expecting it to be awesome!)

I'll be there. My setup is in flux right now. Definitely LG V40 and Audeze LCD-4, but ??? in between. (Step 3: profit.)

And most importantly my gorgeous katalox Salire stand that just arrived! Headphones definitely sound 3 dB better now.

Last time was excellent. Zach & Bevin are the best.

I think what bothers me more than anything else is I'm probably bringing a bunch of Massdrop gear to the meet, and that makes me look like a shill. Which I hate. Haha.

But you're right. The bar on affordable gear keeps getting raised, and I think that's something to celebrate. While I might eventually get a pair of ZMF headphones, it will likely be the single most expensive piece of gear in my collection!
