Wow......those look REALLY nice. Making it extremely hard to decide on either the blackwood with zebra or walnut omni haha. So many beautiful choices! So does zebra sound different from the regular blackwood? Brazilian sound different?

I haven't been able to finish a set with Zebra yet, the Brazilian is just a touch airier than the Blackwood, with a little more bloom in the bass and slightly more extended highs. Blackwood is the most immediate and sub-woofer sounding wood I've ever heard though. Brazilian has a hard hitting and ethereal nature all at the same time.  I can see why guitar players love Brazilian Rosewood, as I do!

Zebra should be just a touch warmer, as it is more porous than both of the above.

I was at the NY Head-Fi this past Saturday. I was the lucky high bidder on a pair of VIBRO x MK IIs donated by Zach. The first pair released to the public. They are fantastic.

Haven't heard the I but I will be posting a review of the II very soon since I am the only one who has it. Want to give it a little more head time. I am loving it.

I prefer a flat sound profile, so I'm upgrading from the Vibro 1 to the Blackwood ltd Zebra.  Just couldn't get used to the upper mid bump.  I'm having Zach stain it dark which I think will look amazing.

With birthday now out of the way, Christmas is coming up, I am looking ahead to the next upgrade.  I know I know but aren't we all like that? Upgrade the cable (from stock ZMF) to something like the Q Audio silk cable or upgrade the Bifrost Uber to multibit? I'm assuming the answer is improve the Dac, but the stock cable just isn't quite long (12-15' is ideal) enough given the room configuration and it's a split cable.

Thoughts?  Thanks everyone in advance.

The Blackwood is so good. Wasn't expecting a headphone that would be so balanced (and that sub bass is amazing). I had the ZMF Master V1 and to be honest I wasn't that thrilled with the way they sounded coming from the HE-500. But the Blackwood is a whole different story/beast. Great job by Zach!

I am going to purchase an after market boutique cable if there is a good deal on Black Friday.

So I need to spec the connector for my Vibros. I thought I simply ask for an Audeze plug but apparently there are serval different plugs used by Audeze. Can anyone tell me which Audeze model plug it should match to?
