Here are my impressions on the Verite (silkwood). Some of the editing is bad, and my cameras starting recording with different lighting/color settings now. Gotta figure out what's going on. Otherwise, (try to) enjoy.

Utopia's drivers are pure beryllium, not coated FYI.

How do the BE2 pads sound? I find that with the universal pads you get that wonderful holographic placement and really pleasant reverb, but the bass can be a touch boomy. Whereas with the flat pads, the bass is less boomy, but they lose some of the holographic sound. Granted, my pair only has about 70 hours on them right now, and may just need to burn in more. Can anyone comment on how the sound changes when you get to 150+ hours?

I received a pair of the BE2 pads yesterday, but I havent had a chance to try them out yet.

I have another headphone here for a review,Bucks vs. Celtics, Warriors vs. Rockets(god I hate rooting for the Warriors) and then GoT tonight,so im not sure when I will have time to check them out.

FWIW I dont find the bass boomy on the Verite + Universe pads.

So, I've burned in 2 pairs of Verite so far. I'm about 70 hours in on the second pair.

They rollercoaster up and down in FR... until they don't. That's when you're burned in. Right now I'm at the "there is a bit more sparkle up high than I remember, and the bass is more mellow" phase. That will probably change in about another 40 hours.

First and foremost, Steve Kerr and Andre are Wildcats for life, so rooting for the Warriors is a privilege!!!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

One another note, I love the U Pads, reading great reports on the Suede Universals are great as well.

I know @zach915m said he didnt want to confuse people with too many pad option. Too late!
So what do the suede Universe pads bring to the equation that the others do not?

Only know what I’ve read on the other site, I’ll try them later today.

I got my BE2 pads yesterday. Theyre slightly thicker than the verite pads but also have the thin/thick sides on the shape like the Verite pads.

So far they sound more like the Universe pads than the Verite pads. How different they are I can't say yet. But they don't make me want to immediately put the Universe pads back on like the Verite pads did. They do retain a decent bit of that 3d sound the Universe pads have. I'll eventually put the Universe pads back on during the week. I want to burn the sound of these into my mind before I do since swapping the pads takes time but so far I do like them.

A lot of lean years here in Warrior land, but loyal fan base finally rewarded. This team is built on unselfishness and blends savvy drafts (Curry, Thompson, Green) with acquiring KD. They really are magnificent to watch when they play at their best. But I''m not greedy, just want this year to three-peat, cement our legacy then we can let someone else take the crown.

Now back on topic in case the mods aren't sports fans...

I've got 400-450 hours on my Verite so far... With my gear and for my tastes, I have preferred the Verite pads to the Universe pads. Today, I just fitted the suede Universe pads - first impressions besides the supreme comfort, less bloom in the bass compared to the leather Universe, tho I would have to do some proper A/B than rely on memory (I haven't run the original U pads for a long time). Have a set of BE pads coming too, will be interesting to hear how they change the sound.
