ZMF Verite Open

Currently I had chance to listen Feliks Euforia Evo on my VO. It was fed with my Hugo TT2 as DAC and I have to say that I was not impressed very much. To my ears it sounded good but not better as my Hugo TT2 headpones out amp. Evo had the original stock tubes.

Stock tubes are probably the issue. Even the Envy with stock tubes isn't anywhere near as impressive as with every other 300b tube I've tried in it. I ended up buying it after hearing it with some upgraded tubes specifically because it was so fantastic with the Verite Open.

I hear the same thing. However, I also hear that the tubes in that amplifier are not popular and might be scarce. Any thoughts on that?

One can use 6AS7 / 6AS7G / 6080 and 6SN7 tubes. Those are sought after and various brands of those tubes are scarce / pricey.
