The high res version of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” is sounding sublime, never thought I’d say that .

Could you please slap a NSFW tag on this. I almost got in trouble when the wife walked by and I was drooling at the screen.

Here is my vintage integrated Yamaha CA-1010 20 watts class A and 100 watts AB and I have owned since high school and it sounds great through headphone jack with the Verite. I paid $475 in the mid 70's and took a lot grass moving and busing tables to raise that kind of money. Today with inflation that we around $1400 but similar new amp is $3100 . Two channel equipment has out paced inflation for sure . Glenn it was had assembled in Japan and the 40 year veteran repairman who did some work on her said those numbers are conservative of what power she puts out.

Here is the mainstay for all my ZMF headphones the Glenn OTL and my favorite tube setup with the Verite has been Brimar 6080's and Brimar 13d as the driver tube using the ZMF AUTEUR 2K COPPER cable.

Then you might want to start planning ahead, since there is some waiting involved...

Finding an unlikely pairing (at least to me), the Hugo 2 and the Vérité. The transits are out of this world fast, I mean razors edge. When I tried the H2 with the Utopia, it was to much of a good thing, and became unlistenable. Now with the Vérité, Qobuz, the H2, the speed remains awesome, but it retains all of the musicality I love about the Vérité!

I can only imagine how they sound on the Dave!

I thought this would be a good pairing (H2 and Glenn) but after hearing your opinion the H2 will remain on my short list to buy...

I am going to keep saving then :beerchug:

Craig, I’m really liking the combo, yeah it’s not the WA5, but it’s a different “flavor” of musical presentation. Anyone who thinks the Vérité is rolled of in the treble needs to rock this combination (my Slinger phrase of the day)! It’s crystal clear from sub bass to the limits of my abused old man ears can pick up. Really cool things like hearing a muted strike on the Tympani in a Wagner Opera that I’d never noticed, and it’s not just hearing the strike, it’s hearing the reaction of the skin to the blow.

Another Band to add to,the list of semi-forgotten ones that sound spectacular on the Vérité, Blood, Sweat & Tears!
