ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
Nov 14, 2019 at 9:14 PM Post #1,546 of 12,522
If anyone is thinking of ordering a Verite Closed and would like the benefit of a shorter order time, please PM me as I no longer need my order from October 14th.

I'm not sure how common this is but it happens enough that Zach and Bevin recommended I try to sell my spot in line and they can verify the transition.

I threw this out once before, but if anyone is interested in swapping their Verite Closed for my HE1000se for a couple weeks just for fun let me know. I’ve been wanting to demo VC on my own home setup ant I can’t afford to own two TOTL headphones at the moment. The HE1000se is really amazing, you should try them out if you haven’t already!

Just to clarify, this is a temporary trade offer, not a permanent trade.

PM me and we can discuss details if you’re interested.

I can not wait for my ironwoods to arrive. That wood grain is gorgeous.

I know only a few people have had their VC’s long enough to answer this question, but what has been everyone’s experience with burn in on the VC’s?

I'm not a huge believer in the whole burn-in thing but mine have settled in nicely over about 40-50 hours. Whether it's mechanical or just my brain adjusting to the sound, I'm finding myself enjoying them more and more. The sub bass is absolutely insane when called for, and there aren't really any unpleasant frequencies for me. It's not a huge difference, but they seem to have mellowed out a bit after sounding more aggressive at first.

How much power do you need to drive the Vc with authority? Would a Audeze Deckard work?
When I heard them Zach had the VC’s hooked up to a Woo Audio WA8. I thought it had complete control of the VC’s. I was surprised by it given the WA8 specs. The listening experience honestly has me considering the pairing.

Had a good session with the VC Ironwood with the new Hybrid pads, I definitely appreciate the removal of any glasses creaking and comfort is overall improved. Sound wise I would say what others have said is pretty accurate, takes the best bits of the Universal and Auteur. Nice spacious smooth sound with a decent kick down low.

Which pad would you order other than Hybrid, universal or auteur?
Universe and Auteur pads come with the headphone, unless ZMF has changed that.

They are all the same price as far as I am aware so I guess they might not be adverse to changing which ones you get in the box? No harm in asking. The Auteur and Universal are the two stock ones though like Monster said.
