Decware waitlist currently has 2,452 entries for amps (or other waitlist products). From tracking my order, I know they currently average about 43 items per month. That puts new orders at about 57 months. That’s nearing 5 years. As a commitmentphobe I think staying on the list for over 2 years is a huge accomplishment for me. It’s longer than my longest relationship. Commitment issues are also why I have no tattoos. I honestly don’t think I could sign up today knowing what kind of wait it is. Maybe I’ll feel differently when my amp comes.

Ha my fiance thinks I'm nuts too when I told her I wanted a Caldera, I only currently have a pair of Auteurs and HE1000. I tried to explain that different headphones offer different flavors. It's like eating a really good steak, it's great.. but you wouldn't want steak every night, it's nice to have variety. I don't think my analogy got through though .

Necro, but might I suggest you go with "you wouldn't want to carry the same handbag everyday" as that worked on my wife when I told her I was buying a new zmf haha.
