Looking all these fancy woods is just awesome but even though I like the looks of some of the other exotic woods, the one thing that always brings reality to me how good they sound. The Cherry may not be the fanciest or the rarest of the bunch but the price Zach gives you on a 2nd Cherry makes them almost unbeatable for the price.
They get plenty of use from me.It does not hurt you can always just pick up a phone can call Zach too, JUST where can you do that with any other maker...
Appreciate it! Yeah the b stock sets are a good value, my personal Omni that I listen to the most 001 which is a varnished Cherry set that has really darkened over time. It's a bit beat up but I sure do love it. A lot of sentimental value there for sure!
I wish I had more time to talk with folks on the phone these days, talking with ZMF owners and audiophiles that love the same thing I do is very very rewarding. Unfortunately the weeks are just insanely busy, running a small business is no joke!
So Zach, with the anticipation of new woods coming out, has anyone ever propositioned you to surprise them with their headphones before? I might not be able to choose if they all look so great
Full creative control on the looks would be a treat to receive.
There has never been anyone who has just bought a headphone and said they want to have no idea what they get, but some people have allowed me to choose slider colors and coin and stuff. It's very rewarding either way because every set has a different aesthetic feel to it. It's always exciting for me to finish a headphone and send them off.
A couple of the last headphones I finished were both Bocote with Grecian copper sliders, there's something really cool about that look.
