So, good chances that tomorrow I'll get it, it arrived in Israel and out of customs, should be delivered tomorrow to my dealer, though it's some 100km away, instead of sending it my way, I'll probably just go there to pick it up :D Unfortunately though Samsung doesn't like Headphone Jacks, and I don't have a DAP to listen to it on the way :frowning2:

Oh well
Hope you have it soon.
Just take your laptop with you. Get the headphones, pull the car over and connect your phone’s hotspot. 😄

Well, good enough idea I guess, though going to work office probably cause it's close to train station...

I might try to get some dongle or something from him maybe, I dunno. But then people will be interested in the headphones, ya know, they are definitely gonna have their character :p

I neglected to test Caldera's thru my phone yesterday so if anyone is curious; I connected straight into my Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and sure enough it can drive them np.
My phone can push them to about -80dB at about 80% volume. Again on par w/ the hd660s/hd58x and just a hair more power required than the Meze Empy & Elites.

This really is quite impressive to have such a highly resolving headphone that can be used portably something of which the Susvara can't do. Really Great work Zach.

Here is a great interview with Zach where the Caldera, Auteur Classic, Atrium Closed and upcoming "portable" model are discussed:

Lol I think I'm the weirdo that tried and liked the Caldera suede pads on the VC. I'm back to universe pads on my VC for the moment though.

The new headphone looks cool. Glad there will be an option to get more people into ZMF too. I've never tried anything with LCP drivers.

On the point of the Auteur for editing / mixing - I actually really have been enjoying editing video with my Caldera. You definitely can pick up on a ton of detail.

I'll make a picture of it later. First I want to experience it in all its glory :D
But a bit clampy

Don't be afraid to do the bendy thing!

Bendy thing, adjust the rods making the grip a bit looser plus move the cups a a little towards the back of the neck is what works for me.

Or you can try the B.B.B. strap from ZMF which will take a good amount of pressure off the sides of your head and redirect some support to the top of your head.

A bit of impressions:
It feels like there's some burn in, I don't know what's going on but it feels like it, whether it's mental burn in or not, starts getting pretty nice, yesterday it was a bit diffused and cold.
Now it's warm, with a body and a bass that is definitely different from the bass on Utopia, not any less, maybe in some cases even slamming harder and probably going down lower on sub-bass.
Some of the frequencies are probably more apparent and coming more to the front, I'm silly watching Brotato videos and notice sounds I haven't heard on the Utopia, or at least it feels like it, like the taser sound, sounds like it might even be a real taser :D

The remastered live version of Alice in Chains that I got, remastered as in, the upsampled from PGGB sounded really crazy, with great imaging and soundstage.

Will probably write up some more
