assuming you’re searching for sub-bass open back.. while the Atrium truly excels in bass, if you are looking for sub-bass then I’d recommend giving the Caldera a consideration

That said, of all ZMF headphones, the AC is a truly the sub-bass king

My Pulsar is an amazing headphone, but the subbass is sort of its weakness. However it could also simply be that all my references are planars.

Therefore I want to educate myself on the ZMF lineup, to be ready when the perfect limited edition drops (or custom builds become available)

IMO, the AC is the pair of cans to beat wrt bass. They also sound more "open" than a lot of open-backs I've experienced.
Like I shared in the AO thread, if you need/want open-backs, then the Atrium on an OTL and/or with a sub-bass shelf is also superb.

then you're in the right thread!

The AC, from all ZMF headphones, has the best sub-bass - and, imho, has the best sub-bass of any dynamic headphone I've ever heard. It's unique in that regard.

These are some really gorgeous options and so many different colors and shades.
I'm still loving the Redwood most and generally prefer a glossy finish, but next would be the Red Mallee. It looks even more red than the redheart. Bimble Box is also pretty amazing.

Wow so many woods in different densities available is what I always wished for. Should be something for everyone waiting for a certain type of wood to match his next ZMF.
So sad I'm only waiting for the Caldera closed haha.

Interesting, because that density would suggest a weight close to 600 grams. My unit, with magnesium chassis, is 498 grams - very happy about that.
