Quick PSA (I'm sure most of you already know but felt that it's not bad to have a reminder).
For the past 3 nights I've been listening to the AC on my Aegis tube amp. I had just swapped out a pair of tubes and was giving them some play time. I noticed that something didn't sound quite right but couldn't put my finger on it. Thought it was the new tubes.
By pure chance when I put the headphones down I noticed the stitching on the earpads and realised that the left and right cups were not aligned with each other. They still created a good seal but sounded "off".
After realigning them "voila"! the AC was back! Seemed like such a minor thing but there was definitely a big enough difference.
So yeah, check and make sure the earcups are aligned with each other!
