Doesnt the Zishan DSD have USB dac? could be wrong though

Yes, with only the "built-in" Win10 drivers on the PC at work (where I don't have permissions to install drivers), I use my Zishan DSD (AK4497) as a USB DAC (16-Bit / 48-KHz) all the time.
I also use my Walnut F2, and my Radsone ES100 as USB DACs on the same PC.

Does This mean that it can charge at the same time though? Through the computer possibly?

Yes, the DSD will charge while operating as a USB DAC (as long as the USB cable has the +5V line in it).
The F2 has separate Data and Charge micro-USB jacks - so you have the option of operating on the battery, or charging it.

Its great to hear your input DBaldock9 ! Im totally new to all these terms, but Im searching for an all in one dac for laptop, and on the go player. Aaalot of options and things to get into! ha :)

Generally speaking, the Zishan DAPs that I've seen, have better DAC chips in them, than the Walnut DAPs.
Even the simple DAC chips in the Walnut devices support operation as a 16-Bit / 48-KHz USB DAC, but most of them don't support higher resolution audio tracks.

I know that the Zishan DSD supports multiple file formats, up to at least 192-KHz sample rates, but maybe only at 16-Bit resolution (rather than 24-Bit, or 32-Bit).
It has one socketed op-amp which (indirectly) drives the Single-Ended output.
But if you want to op-amp roll the Balanced Output, it requires unsoldering / soldering surface-mount SOIC-8 devices.

The Walnut F2 supports MP3 & WAV file formats, at 16-Bit, and either 44.1-KHz or 48-KHz.

The T1 probably supports a similar set of file types and resolutions as the DSD.
They both have Balanced & Single-Ended outputs - but neither has very much internal space for capacitor or op-amp rolling.

No, but thats great! Ill start of in this price range - So the DSD seems a fair choice? Since I have no real insight.. yet.

zishan dsd supports 32 bit pcm and dsd256 as far as I know..

It looks like mostly the same basic components minus extra switches and different screen size so they should support the same formats. The processor converts the formats and sends the stream to the dac.

Mostly want it for my Monolith m560 (planar) and HD 6xx. Shour Tape IEM, Tin T4, AS10
