TTpod is no match against DUOZA. Don't have FX850 to compare sorry.

I see ....and would you say the sound signature is similar or totally different ? as i happen to really like the sound signature of tttpod as i usually listen to electronica, edm music.Would you see Douza a significant or worthy upgrade to the TTpods ?

Hmm, that is exactly my worry. As a newbie I doubt I would have much sway with them. With that said, the CKR10 is available in North America, you figure they may honour that?

If the CKR10 is being sold by an American company (it doesn't say Japanese Import), then you should be fine. They will honor the warranty.

Not more but almost equal. Definitely equal to the CKR9 though in sound quality. But when you factor in the performance-cost ratio, then I would have to say they impress more.

Any chance of getting a more detailed opinion to follow on from your initial impressions.
Comparisons to Tenore & CK10 would be appreciated.

Do you think it can do well with EDM/Trance ?

Sure, but I don't know when. Regular gig has been keeping me busy lately.

It seems ATH America seems to be selling both the CKR 9 and 10 so either one should be supported by ATH Japan right?

I am so tempted to get the Duoza and will have to chance it will warranty or I might go the eBay route. Thanks! Looking forward to more of your impressions :)

Look like they are now supported by AT America. You're good shape. It wasn't when I bought mine.

Thanks Eric. Just to clarify, this means that AT Japan will honour the warranty or AT USA? If it is AT USA, would make shipping much easier in the event something happens. Sorry to be pestering you with it, just have had terrible luck with channel imbalance as of late so I want to have my bases covered. Cheers :)

Anyone able to compare The CKR 9/10 against the Duoza?

M200 off the list for me after multiple confirmations 3D like sound reduced along with sparkle - No go for Trance.

Now it's either Duoza or EPH100 again.

voicemaster looking forward to your feedback of Duoza with Trance music. Maybe you can compare Duoza against Tenore as I have that. I'm looking for good highs with sparkle and 3D like stereo imaging that the EPH100 does so well. Essential quality for immersive Trance listening

I put links to few tracks for you.

Cheers.

Good high with sparkle, but can also bite you when the song called for; amazing 3D imaging; mid that is clean, crisp and detailed; bass that is detailed, tight, punchy, but also has that rumble low end are what I describe as Duoza.

I listened the 3rd song using both the tenore and duoza. I listened mostly on 2:44 as it shows the imaging and soundstage of IEM.
The duoza and tenore comparison:
1. bass impact is excellent on duoza, at 2:44 there is a low hum and the duoza played it really well, bass is fully bodied. The tenore doesn't have the same bass impact, which makes it sound thinner, but played the low hum really well too.
2. Imaging is excellent on the duoza, at 2:44 I can hear each notes going in and out, up and down clearly, very nice nuance. The tenore is more one dimension means that it doesn't really show the vertical imaging, only going in and out.
3. high is smooth, no sibilance on both.
4. tenore does well really, but the best experience will be duoza.
I also listened to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0Hk4GDD1_Q
The first song "I Listen" start at 1:35, the vocal on the duoza is more pronounced, the high is really great, very crisp and sparkly. Again, the imaging is really superb on duoza, how it put each different notes in different layers makes it easy to hear all the notes clearly. The bass also has more impact, fully bodied and very detailed. Imho, the duoza is better in every category, it is the whole package. Hope that help.

Thanks for your feedback. You seem to be describing my experience with Trance on Tenore - somewhat 1D as opposed to 3D. Direction and layers are not separated and clear.
When I expect fast sounds to alternate and bounce between Right and Left phones I don't get the sensation the sound is explicitly playing in either phone at a time. Instead both channels sounds too close together and diffused. That's the biggest flaw for me. Maybe soundstaging issues or would that be imaging ? (Noob alert)
It's strange that even though the Tenore seems to have almost everything over the EPH100, it just can't engage me with Trance genre which is frustrating.

The UM3X is recognised to have one of the best 3D/separation/Imaging that is superior to EPH100. The stick to measure separation/imaging.
Unfortunatley the Bass doesn't cut it for EDM/Trance. Any chance you have heard these earphones or are able to line up for comparisons ?

Another point - Will the Duoza stay in ears whilst doing light jogging as it is a shallow insert and seems big like the fx850 which is a definite no go.

Well said. I listen to much Trance and experience the same thing. Tenores are best for Metal and vocal music, for me. For EDM they don't do much justice.

I'm wondering whether DUOZA would satisfy needs of EDM music. If yes then I'll gladly get one.

I am using t-400 comply (a big fan of it btw) and the fit is very good. You can use it over the ear style if you want so that it will be more secure and also eliminate cable noise.
I have never heard the um3x, but I do have W4R. The problem with westone is that their bass is weak. They are good for jazz, classical and such, but for dubstep, trance and edm, they completely lacking.
