Your 5 newest CDs (or LPs)

Dec 21, 2005 at 12:03 AM Post #1,321 of 6,671
I've been buying a load of LPs lately!

Yaz: Upstairs at Eric's
Alison Moyet: Alf (mint!)
Tracy Chapman: Self Titled
Stray Cats: Built for Speed
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark: The Pacific Age
David Bowie: Lodger
Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man
Live Songs
Recent Songs (all bought sealed!)
The Cure: Never Enough 12" Single
Peter Schilling: Major Tom '94 12" Single
The Church: Terra Nova Cain 12" Single (mint!)
Enigma: Sadeness 12" Single
Handels Messiah 3 disc box. Angel Records; Huddersfield Choral Society, Sir
Malcom Seargent conducting
Carmen; Kapp Opera without Words series, Rome Symphony Orchestra,
Domenico Savino conducting
Pictures at an Exhibition: Mussurgsky and Ravel. Somerset (in "Spectra Sound"); Nord Deutsches Symphony Orchestra, Wilhelm Schuechter
conducting
Beethoven Symphony No.5 C-minor. This one came from an old book of the
month club!
Leon Berry: GIANT Wurlitzer Pipe Organ vol.4
Vol. 10 for Hi Fi Living: Very Hi Fi Organ. (both of these organ albums purport themselves to be hifi. Different labels. Bought for the priceless cover art.)
All the classical came from goodwill, but the records don't seem scratched. I've yet to find out if they play well. The Handel Box is all torn up. I had to hunt through four or five different stacks of disks to find all three records, the info booklet, and the front and back covers, so I'm hoping it turns out to be worth it

I really like that Decemberists album. Did you get it on CD or LP?

Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine (Not as good as the Brion version, I'm afraid, but at least now it's not in 128 kbps mp3)
Built to Spill - Keep It Like a Secret
Cary Swinney - The Human Masquerade
