Save The Date!!! - June 5th-6th, 2010
Canjam 2010 is officially in Chicago, Illinois. Though there is still plenty of work remaining for the Chicago crew, we do have an official date and venue.
DATE: Saturday June 5th and Sunday June 6th, 2010
Venue: Hyatt Regency O'hare Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotels, Lodging Near ORD & Illinois Reservations - Hyatt Regency O'Hare
http://ohare.hyatt.com/hyatt/images/.../factsheet.pdf
The meeting space that we have allocated for the event weighs in slightly under 20,000 square feet over two levels, making CanJam 2010 the potential to be the biggest headphone meet of its kind. The hotel is about 1.2 miles away from O'Hare airport, and free shuttle service 24/7 will be provided to hotel attendees. The hotel is also 2 blocks from the blue line which takes you directly into the downtown loop area.

Room reservations can be placed with the hotel, at a group room rate of $109/night. Parking for attendees is $10.Please reserve under the group name "Head-Fi" to receive the discounted room rate, which does include free internet access. You have the option of choosing two double beds or one king bed. Reservations can be called in or click on the link below. The room rate is accomodated from checking in June 1st to checking out June 9th
UPDATE: Online Reservation Link - Head-Fi CanJam
The Head-Fi international meet, also known as CanJam, is a very special event, inarguably the most important annual event with the goal of promoting and sharing the world of Headphone High Fidelity with fellow community members. With almost a year to prepare, there is NO reason why everyone shouldn't have a chance to make it out. Put down the foo-foo drink from Sbux, don't buy those random pebbles that supposedly make your gear better, ask yourself whether you truly need 5 headphones or 6 headphone amps, and put that money towards your CanJam 2010 Chicago fund.
Keep your eyes on this subforum for important details and updates in the future. Please Save-The-Date and hope to see you there!

Time to start saving. I'll get my way up there one way or another, don't know if I'll be spending the nights in the hotel or not though.
Does the hotel have parking or is it paid airport parking? I wouldn't mind sleeping in a car to save a few hundred bucks.

Update original post. Parking was negotiated at $10/day for attendees and hotel guests for the event.

Sure looks like a nice place, and the date may actually fit my schedule quite nicely as well.
