I borrowed them from my friend, I couldn't break it to the poor fool that I had close to $2000 worth of a source and Amp/DAC in my back pocket.

What was the source and amp/dac?

HM-801
Silver interconnect

The interconnect was easily $500

I also enjoyed them out of my Clip+

I wouldn't really buy one myself. My Clip+ keeps me busy more then my Cowon S9

But I was thrown a gym bag like being thrown a bag of drugs and told: "Have fun"

"Boy, thanks Harry; let me borrow your $15,000 worth of audio equipment by throwing it at me."

When everytime you listen to music, live, through headphones, or through speakers, you close your eyes so you can picture the soundstage....
Yeah, I do that with live performances, people playing in orchestras is distracting, and its hard to listen carefully with my eyes open.
Makes any mistakes they make more obvious too

Some nice HD598's eh?

I don't watch TV, but I definitely noticed the Senns - the HD598 looks lush.

How true. I would rather have my PS3 die, TV break, or get the RRoD on my Xbox360 than have any of my gear die. Especially my new DAC.

I get the feeling.

Like how I stopped practicing with my nun chucks as soon when I got a tube amp. I didn't care about three monitors and a computer, but I just couldn't take the risk to break my amp.
Not that I have ever broken anything, and apart from that my amp is in a corner of a room and almost impossible to hit even if I aimed for it.
