I have done this.

When you physically laugh at people when they say they're new SkullCandy's/Bose In-Ears are amazing.

When your router suddenly starts refusing connections through port 80 and head-fi still works.
I am currently in that situation now... I dont even know how
EDIT: and when you finally decide it's time to reboot the router when head-fi stops working

When someone asks you what kind of music you like and you launch into a one-sided conversation which includes the use of terms such as ALAC, FLAC, OGG, APE, CUE, and ends with a chuckle about the 128k bitrate of itunes purchases, thus leaving the conversation starter utterly confused and speechless, as he really just wanted to find out if you'd heard the new Young (insert random rap name here) album.

Has happened, actually. Very proud of myself for that one.
