I plan to power it with my Lehmann Audio Black Cube Linear. Should have plenty of clean KICK.

Damn those things are huge, it's almost like strapping the wheels of your car to your head. And here I thought my AKG Hearo 777 Quadras were big. :D

Would you say Little Dot I+ be a potential good amp for these without breaking your bank? Seems like this amp is very suitable for low impedance headphones that require lot of current to sound optimal like is the case with XB700 at least.

And I thought the JVC DX1000's were already ridiculous

I just bought it! I can't wait to do my usual Unboxing videos and tell you guys what I think. I think I paid too much, but I really wanted it so I don't care. Anyone else ordered one?

And I thought my deep cup darth beyer is already ridiculous...

Do they still have the bassports underneath the headband on the backside of the cups? Is the bass extremely deep/soft like XB700 or does it have also some upperbass punch.

to my ears bass response is even from sub bass to mid bass with the sub bass being a bit more dominant
so far it is a clear upgrade from the xb700/xb500
there is a bass port on the upper part of the back side
like a grill with holes

OK thanks.

Is bass quantity bigger or smaller compared to XB500/700 ?

What about the mids, on XB700 I thought they were slightly recessed while on XB500 they are reasonably forward, how do you think XB1000 compares like? Also the highs, are they more or less prominent compared to XB700? XB500 has slightly veiled highs while I concider XB700 to have tiny bit emphasized highs.

Oh what source and amp do you use?
