Ok fellas, I know these cards wont bring the best of these DT880's but, I am limited by $. I have tried the Xonar DX (stilling in my htpc) and it sounds great with the DT880;s. My question is will the Xonar DG be a better choice to the DX? I have about $50-60 to spend.
 
I know the DG has a heaphone AMP of "up to 150 ohms".

Personally, I'm surprised the Xonar DX works well with the DT-880 250-Ohm.
My Xonar DX barely powers my DT-770 Pro 250-Ohm, with all volumes max out, sound level is around 3/10
 
Xonar DX verses Xonar DG, not sure.

You can get the sound card then later on when you get enough money  get a external amp to power the headphones. The Xonar DG will not be enough for them. Or you can get a amp now and get a better source later on when you have the money. but they def will beneift from a amp then what the DG can give it. I doubt they hard to drive so I sure there affordable amps that you can use with the sound card, or to choose from to power them.
