I am planning to purchase a HD600. I own a xin supermicro (2003 version), can I use it to drive HD600 ?
HD595 works very well with my thinkpad T61p laptop.

Thanks!

Xin's supermicro can drive the HD580 from the info provided in Xin's website.
XIN SuperMicro Amp
Since both HD600 and HD580 has same impedence, supermicro should be good enough to drive HD600

Varunku-- I have the HD600 and a SuperMicro IV (2007) amp. The SuperMicro works fine with the HD600s; there is no noticeable deficiency with the amp's abilty to drive them. Fortunately for you, you already have the amp. The HD600s are far easier to come by. Happy listening!

It will drive them to sufficient volume, but it certainly won't drive them well compared to what can be done with them.

There are many threads around here detailing the usefulness of portable amps for driving inefficient full size headphones.
