side note: I'm almost annoyed with how much I like these. :| I shouldn't be enjoying $20 IEMs to the point that I feel guilty I'm not desperate to put my full-size back on.

My pair came in tomorrow and I am testing them till now. I didn't notice any over emphasis on bass. I lost my v3.0s a few days ago, and I can't notice any sound signature change. Though it may seem odd but I think my v3.0s had clearer bass than these. I am not an audiophile and can't come up with any exact word to describe the sound. I subjected then to around 7 hrs burn in with 1more's burn in app but to no effect on sound. Is it normal or mine is defected or something...!!!

Unless mine are defective, my pair are missing mid-range frequencies to the extent that they sound muffled and downright awful. I have two other pairs of earphones, the Visang R-01 and Rock Zircon, and they both sound much better than these.

i bought them from geatbest and they sound great, especialy after putting the complys on them.
 
you will wait 2-3 weeks for them, but apart from the KZ-ATE, theres nothing you can get for under 20 bucks that sounds better (and under 50 exclusing the Zero Audio tenore)

How are these things durability wise compared to the Piston 2.0/2.1? I've had my Piston 2.1 for quite some time now and they've been through hell. Snagged the cable on door handles and other stuff many times, roll it up and just put it in my pocket for storage and it's been through 5 washing cycles (forgot to take it out of pockets before washing clothes) and it's still working to this date! I once had one side go soft, but that turned out to be a clogged earpod. A bit of alcohol and a lot of sucking (lol) fixed that problem.
 
My brother however managed to royally F his pair up and was looking to replace them, looking for a a similar sound signature as the original 2's (a bit bass heavy, good sound stage, V shape sound) but I'm reading mixed reviews here (as per usual )
