Does anyone know where I can get the 1.1 firmware?  I tried downloading it from the xDuoo site, but the .rar file gives me an "unexpected end of archive" error every time.

I maintain my cloud all available firmware for your playe. The original file without virus .

Thanks!

Google translation:

"Having dealt in the player and CPU architecture, I confidently state that the error rate of 44100 pure play software, and can be reduced to -0,006% (currently ~ 1.3%). However, it all depends on the current software implementation in the core firmware. If there zahardkozhena frequency is not on the modules, it is not something that the patch, even if there is redo source is not immediately released. In rokbokse I immediately I will consider this nuance and laid frequency switching flexibility.

P.S. one more thing - in the DSD player is not a native, but through conversion to the PCM. Although the CS4398 has a DSD input at X3 he did not involved. Uzhos. And now with this live?"

Wonder who will be the first to claim they can hear the pitch difference of 0.006% if the fix occurs

Glad to see that progress does seem to be in the pipeline for the X3 - it can only make a good player even better

On all aspects of sound it is an upgrade to X1. However if you are happy with your X1 keep it.

Looks as though the Rockbox effort has stalled because the factory firmware needs to be fully fixed first.  Interesting that if I understood XVortex correctly he says the xDuoo folks also used a "kludge" approach to implementing the DSD mode.  Regardless it is obvious that xDuoo either needs to put some talent on the firmware or provide the complete code to folks that can successfully correct things.   tony@xDuoo are you listening?

I sent a polite and good-willing e-mail to service@xduoo.com about my hopes of the code being released and how i imagine that should ramp up even more the sales for the X3. They probably won't give a **** to my e-mail. But i imagine that if all those who voted in the pool (96 headfiers) + all the guests who read this thread but don't participate headfi send an e-mail about this to xduoo, they would probably look more seriously to release the code.

I was unable to download from xduoo.com via Verizon FIOS or at work (Verizon & AT&T links).  I finally was able download the firmware on my Sprint cell phone.

My sprint phone failed as well as my wi-fi, at least there are other sites to get the firmware, i'll be moving from this to the iBASSO DX50 ordered one at a fairly good price.

Did anyone notice that the x3 sounds better after a full charge or is it just a placebo effect

Eh? No!  I'm sorry and I'm not trying to be insulting but that doesn't even make any sense.  The circuitry will draw X amount of current to operate unchanged as the battery discharges.  When the battery can't support that, the unit will shut down.

What case do you have your x3 in ?

Amazing little case for 5 bucks at a liquidation store.
I've noticed that cases for Nokia 6610/8800/1616/108/ - Motorola W181 - Should work.

I have a friend printing this one for me.   http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1331641

I think this one should work also.
