That's right, synergy is super important and highly overlooked or often mistaken for "spend more, get more attitude" This is why I could plug Havi into the $500 Tralucent DacAmp One (which I have done) and it sounds great, it might even be more detailed, though doesn't sound the same on a technical level overall because..."synergy". This is why I say the price of a DAP usually means squat, its the synergy that's more important.

Anyway, I've found my X2 pairing, these two will live together for a while.

.

Aaaaah I guess I'm not on the fence about buying the X2 anymore... I'm still saving up for the Fiio X1, but the X2 will definitely be the next DAP I buy.

If its for Havi definitely take the XDuoo and save a few dollars in the process.

>> Warning: xDuoo X2 support *.flac only 16bit/44.1kHz and may not support special symbols in tags. And may not support tag "Comment". Use special tools to fix this.

Grrrrrrrr I sure look forward to striping tags off 120gb of flac files via mp3tag or dbpoweramp

Any firmware fixes or future options to ignore tags and ETAs?

I'm planning on getting both, but right now I don't have a dedicated DAP, I'm using my iPhone 6+. Would you recommend getting the X2 first and then the X1 in this case?

You should be ok, most folders have been playing without a fuss, there is the occasional time we've needed to remove tags. I wouldn't go as far to say you need to remove 120gb worth of tags although a separate card for your X2 may be a nice option to consider. And if it comes to removing tags MP3tag will do an entire batch in one go, that entire card, (you won't need to load each album individually into the program).

I wouldn't worry yet svyr, apart from the occasional hicup things are pretty smooth.

Yes, I would recommend X2 first, particularly if the source is for Havi.

Re mp3tag true but. Most of my folders don't play and I like tags on windows(album art etc) so I world prefer an ignore tag option
They can fix their firmware or at least add an ignore tags option

You Probs cleaned of tags much earlier for other players

So you have the player now?

You can do this a very easy way imo, come in from a different angle. Rather than focus on using that card with the 120gb of music on it purchase a separate card for the XDuoo, save yourself some headaches, I don't mean a 128gb card, more like 32gb card for $19 on Australian eBay (unless of course you have one spare to use). Load up some albums, remove all their tags like we mentioned in one batch and enjoy the player. Make your life easier. You can focus on adding more or changing things later.

Sweet, I should be ready to pull the trigger in a couple weeks. I just ordered MP9927, TTPOD T1, and Hzsound EP001's, working on expanding my collection.

Yes got it and titan1. I suspect dbpa and the CD info source libraries populate the tag info it hates
Titan is really really good thanks

Lol, I don't want more SD cards or selectively copying music
I want people not to support tags at all or add an ignore option for tags if they can't write parsers

Haha, you're a funny one, you can wait then for the firmware.

 Waiting....waiting...processing...processing..

Pop into the Titan thread and say hi sometime.

I personally haven\t had issues with anything from my music library aside from the unsupported hi-rez ones. It's your fault you have a ton of fancy tags. I've ripped all my music myself and the only tags I bother with are track number, title and album. Although I still had to get an extra 64Gb card for the x2 because of the hi-rez stuff I had to convert for it.

i really don't see why there's any reason to treat hardware faults and basic parser issues or lack of shuffle all folders support any different.

=) 'your fault' naww... incompetent developers and testing on a 3 folders SD card and making incorrect assumptions about use - yea.

please continue supporting incompetence in what you get sold :). Personally i don't want my audio life to be a series of workaround management events
