xDuoo X2 - small lossless player with microSD and OLED!

The X2 makes my Soundmagic P21 sound puncy and great and the E10s' are great also. I don't have the most amazing headphones but these sound great to me. Also been testing out the Extreme SX550 and the bass is well controlled with these so all round the X2 is pressing the right buttons.

Well, you should remember me selling my gr07 mk2 quite some time ago. I might try it with the gr04 flagship, which is very similar. I haven't tested it with all my stuff but I just I tried it with my N6W but the synergy is extremely bad. The noble sounds overly warm, soft, veiled and muffled, while its synergy with the colorfly c3 is a killer - clean, tight and articulate. The difference between c3 and x2 in this regard is a huge chasm. That just shows how important synergy is. If I go and audition something like the Noble with the x2 alone I'll be bashing the noble a lot.

Well, that was silly wasn't it? Selling your GR07 MK2....that's worthy of a good talking too.

T-Peos, H-300, now that's a hybrid which sounds nice on XDuoo, but the 3 - way hybrid isn't for the faint-hearted with its overly cold presentation. Great soundstage and separation from X2, really shows what the player can do on a technical level, though it wears me down in 45 minutes, so its just a quick hit from the smoke pipe.

Still waiting for Havi B3, shall report in further, Sir Kova.

I have a pair of PL21 here, they are a great little IEM, the E10 is another I like.

Which T-Peos are you referring to? I've been looking at their IEMs and thinking about picking a pair up...

Well, at the time I preferred the melec a161p to the gr07 and wasn't such a hoarder. Anyway, the N6W's bad synergy with the x2 is weird coz it's really bad and even  imbalanced. I wonder if the x2 will have issues with other multi-BAs. It's fine with the brainwavz b2, so I hope it will be fine with the earwerkz supra when it arrives.

Nevermind, I had a momentary lapse into idiocy, I didn't realize the H-300 was the T-Peos you were referring to.

Might suggest high output impedance...

X2 seems to work overly well with full-size headphones, especially Shure SHR840 atm.

Sounds really good with the SRH-840 :)

Yes, it does! I'm happy someone else had this combo to try, I was laying down listening myself just minutes ago relaxing.

Talk about "clear and detailed" Its almost like a completely different player with some full-size over 'some' IEM I tried.

Not bad driving power either for a matchbox!

I like the look of the X2 but im not to thrilled about the mirror screen..I guess it´s good when you need to check that your make up is flawless?

Yeah, it's nice to check your good looks but because of that the X2 has very bad sunlight legibility.

C'mon big tease .....you know Havi is me fav ....so what it gonna be ...

Btw ..haha ..you re-bought Havi .....why sell and buy again ....

You should seriously be considering X2 just for Havi, the soundstage, air and separation is far above anything this price should be. I've been listening all afternoon, usually I'd move onto something else. $55 for X2, $65 for Havi, $110 for some pretty brilliant sound. I'm surprised Twister didn't mention it, as he tested Havi for power requirements with X2. For some reason it sounds quite lean and overly clean, for those who like semi-bright presentations its a sure thing 100%.

I picked up the Havi because I saw them for a good price and wanted to try with some newer sources.

Its strange, FiiO X1 / Havi don't provide the same results, with X1 Havi sound rather dull and withdrawn, and as I've said with most pairings I think X1 is the better player. It sounds good but the magic isn't there like with X2. Plug Havi back into X2 and away they go with that air and stage width. Just a great match, especially for my preferences.

Take the leap of faith.
