I'm pretty sure Dre has nothing to do with the headphone engineering besides stamping his name (regardless of what canned answers he'll give to people about coming up with the "sound" of the headphones).

I'm pretty sure my reasoning behind him being sent to jail is because he stamped his name on such a shoddy product and endorsing it countless times.
