AudioCats did and brought to the Meet in Bellevue. He used napkin rings that were wood. They were cool.

At an Atlanta meet a couple years ago, hozo brought along a pair of KSC-75's for which he had created wood enclosures. They looked great but the wood enclosure screwed up the sonics and it ended up sounding really hollow. Whoever attempts this will have to be very careful with laying out the sound chamber.

What about making it extended and using a metal screen ala Grado?

I think that you can make some great looking/sounding clips with a recable and housing.

Cool, so it actually has been done! If I ever get bored with my KSC75's maybe I'll give something like this a try
