I'm looking in to picking up some wood earphones.

So far, I'm looking into The House of Marley (People Get Ready), ThinkSound (ts02), or something by Woodies...

Does anyone have experience with one, or all, of these? What's my best bet for sound? I've heard some people say that wood earphones sound better, but I half assume that they say that just because they have liked wood over-ears before.

Thoughts?

Do you have a budget? The FX700 is amazing and it's little brother FX500 is very impressive as well, I'd highly recommend them both if you have the cash to burn. The TS02 is very good too and Xears also have some wooden IEMs. Here's a nice read comparing some <$80 wooden 'phones.

I've listened to ThinkSound Rain and TS02 -- both were very warm, but not sure if that is completely attributable to the wood body (TS says so) -- many dynamic driver IEMs can sound warm.  But they were both excellent sounding phones.

I'm not sure what benefits wood has in IEMs, but in my experience they sound more natural and are all pretty warm with some very nice bass.

Yup.  If you want the cream of the crop woodies, the FX700 takes the cake.  The Thinksound sounds pretty good for the price and better than the woodies, IMO.  The FX500 is also well regarded for its character if the FX700 price is too steep, but don't buy the FX500 fakes on fleaby.

Yes, woods tend to sound more natural to me as well.

I really enjoyed the TS02 and rain, they are great sounding, laid back, full, and pretty cheap used.

TS02, XEars XE200s...  My two recommendations for affordable fun sound and balanced sound respectively.
