Check this out. I ordered kr274b non hp so when then came I had to remove the Sophia 274b. I use two hands and this happened. So if I knew which lead goes into which pin I could fix it myself. What makes me angry is warranty thing is fishy. I got them from Woo and didn’t know about 30days vs 1 year. How would you feel. Got to pay woo to fix it. I want Sophia to fix it. Warranty sounds stupid on tubes by Sophia. So to end this was in the socket with a broken seal but vacuum is 100 percent fine. Maybe I’ll crazy glue all my tubes
Shocking... should never happen with a tube for that price.. It seems Sophia does not produce tubes itself, it is Chinese Fullmusic production... in any case they should take responsibility for such defects to keep credibility...
I'm finding this amp responds with rolling where some other amps didn't have much change. The combination has to be just right. I have Tung Sol 6sn7gtb Russian and they have a sizzle pan effect on highs sometimes. So far my favorite are stock nos Russian and Psvane cv181. Im waiting for Shuagun(spelling) cv181. I'd like to get some inexpensive 6sn7 but I can't figure what to buy, there's just too many to choose from. I have Ken Rad but they produce a hiss noise in one channel. They sound good. Leave some recommendations I could try.

I used to have Shuguang cv 181 when i had Wa22 and really liked them. Very smooth and quiet (ie no hiss, hum ect). Probably one of the best of new production tubes. They are said to be warmer than psvane cv 181.
Hey all, I'm very reluctantly, thinking about selling my WA5 with EML XL 300b tubes. I've gotten to the point where I only listen to IEMs. I'd prefer someone within driving distance of Kentucky, but they’ll be packed we'll for any potential buyer.

Just wanted to know What are you setting the gain on your amp I have tried the lower gain and now I’m trying high gain and I kind of like most of the stuff I’m hearing through the high gain setting does anybody have an opinion on this.

As long as you can get over 9 o'clock on the volume, go with what sounds best to you. Woo recommends switching gain if you need to go past 2 o'clock. I find that it sounds the same if I match levels in-between them.
Yes it add thickness and smoothed out KR300B HP. KR are still going through burn in.
If you decide it’s cheap but doesn’t really seem much to choose from.
