Yes, The Feliks Euphoria is the best tube amp for Empyrean. The lower Feliks amps are not for the Empyrean. WA5 is edgy smooth dynamic tons of low-end. Rolling it has big changes on sound. If you are buying one talk to Mike from Woo he has the sound character for different 300b tubes. I have my three tube types, which are perfect for my headphones.

What are the major differences/improvements that you perceived upgrading from OTL amps like Euphoria/Crack to WA5? More power/dynamics from 300B tubes or just different sound signatures due to different amp topologies?

All comes down to taste and preference, it might be "too smooth" since both amp and headphone go into the same direction

LOL…yeah 300B tubes are pricey, especially those NOS WE300B ones, but collectively folks should be able to make it

Yes, EML has a 300B mesh plate and also a 300B XLS. I'm running the XLS in my WA5-LE. Very happy with them.

They sound smoother with the 1266 using denaphrips Pontus 2. KR 300B more energy. I need to see how my other headphones sound. The KR300b sound perfect off my Wells Audio Cipher tube DAC. So things depend on synergy of what you like.

If your DAC is edgy bright the EML the way too go. Now just need 300hrs.
