Whatever I happened to be using while listening to music earlier in the day.
So I use everything from Edition XS to Susvara and Utopia for gaming... Sadly none of them seem to help when it comes to competitive shooters though. :-)

Sennheiser HD800 all the way.

I am 90% a PC gamer/7% PS5/3% Switch

I had some Audeze Maxwell for PS5 & I really did not get on with them at all (honestly I think once you've used HD800 for a couple of years, they're just peerless for gaming)... I got a Topping DX9 and that allowed me to use my HD800 with my PS5 & the Maxwell are collecting dust. I lost the dongle (actually the missus did during a clean up) so they are tough to sell. It's

Since I've been obsessed with the Hifiman HE-R10P lately, I've been putting some game time on them. They certainly do not disappoint for games. They sound bigger than any of my open-back headphones, but have that godly bass response that no open-back could hope to match; that combination alone makes them my best gaming headphones. On top of that, the little nitpicks I have with them about music go away when gaming.

Thankfully, Hifiman has them on their clearance sale for 70% off. They would have been entirely out of my reach if not for that.

I do think even if they were full retail they might be worth the price. They are substantially better than $2000-class headphones.

Did you have the HE-R10 P Stealths or the original. The Stealth version is pure magic.

Stealth. They really are so good. A closed headphone shouldn't have a bigger soundstage than the HD800S, but it does.

I still use my Ultrasone HFI-780 after almost 10 years. Occasionally I'll use my Sennheiser IE80 Iems as well for a change.

headphone: Takstar TS-671
Microphone: 2x takstar tcm370.

Other: superlux hd668b, somic mh463.

next buy: hd6000 (isolation & likeage)

I used Creative Fatal1ty headset for long time, but mic on those is quite bad. After starting to use random desktop mic I bought Superlux HD-668 B and have been using those since.

I used to use the Superlux 668B and it's still one of the best for the money, but I mostly use my SHP9500 mainly because of comfort, and soundstage is good. Sometimes I'll use my HE-4XX but the headband isn't comfortable at length. For the 668B, the popular cosmo pads do make it easier to hear locations of sounds but you lose so much bass and they're not comfortable pads.

Superlux 668B user too. It has been my go-to for gaming past 7 years or so. I don't use a mic much but when I do I hook up a mod-mic and I like 668B's connection jack.

I was a huge believer in the S-Logic tech Ultrasone was pushing. It really seemed to work best on their lower end stuff, like the HFI-580, 780, and Pro 750s. The higher end stuff got way too bright, but with those three it really worked wonders.

It kinda saddens me to see Ultrasone not as relevant as they once were.

I guess some people still enjoy their headphones but agreed, they've never been the same. I never found the 780 that great for music overall (great for metal though) but they were and I think still are excellent for gaming and movies.
