Which headphones do you use for PC gaming?

I must admit I've never used any high end headphones for gaming except in 2015 when I tried my HE400i and Oppo PM-3. Sounded good. Still, I get a bit animated when gaming and always worried about damaging the headphones somehow so I've been using speakers for years now. Currently using JBL 305 MK3 which are an excellent pair of studio monitors IMO. Still, this thread has inspired me so I'm going to try gaming on some "cheap but decent" headphones tonight. Will give SHP9500 and 9600 as well as HE400SE a whirl.

Lately I've been using my Focal Clear and Arya Stealth for gaming and both have been great with the fps games I've been playing. I think they have good accuracy for playing fps and the impact of them help bring immersion.

Plus both are very comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

I liked my LCD-X sound for gaming most, but they’re just too heavy for longer sessions.

Wearing Clear OGs for now. Used K702 special editions for competitive gaming back in the day but now I mostly just play single player RPGs. X2HRs were great budget headphones I wore for years after losing the K702s to a flood.

Ordering some Edition XS to see if I like Hifimans.

I bought my Etymotic er4s specifically for gaming so that I wouldn't bother anyone w/ the sound (and wouldn't be bothered by outside noise)

I game on PC. I've tried the Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R and it was a no. Specially if music is involved. Then tried the Sony Pulse 3D with wire on and this one was a big let down, so no. I'm just happy with my Sennheiser RS 180, I though that this was how maybe the HD600 or HD650 would sound in regards to the bass but I was wrong the bass in the RS 180 its much better, it has better quality and quantity that goes along with the rest of the frequency of the headphones.

I used the he1000v2 stealth for gaming previously, I mean, I didn't buy it just for playing games, but it's like every time I wanted to listen to music, my friends invite me to join them, so it practically become my gaming headsets lol
I spent most of the time on War thunder, and the good part of playing game with hekv2 stealth is that it has a very very punchy bass, which I think inherited the technology from the SE, when bombs and shells land next to my vehicle, it feels like a real explosion right next to me

Depends from game to game based on their soundtracks, like for Doom i love to use HE6se for bass-oriented dynamic music impact, HD800s for orchestral soundtrack-oriented games like Assassin's Creed, God of War, Horizon Dawn Zero, etc, dt880/ad700x for casual games.

I was using my Sennheiser HD800 exclusively for games but since I went all in on estats I've been switching between the Stax 007mk2 and Audeze CRBN for gaming.

Both excellent headphones, depending on the day I prefer one or the other.

Currently the Sennheiser HD800S (okay I actually have the HD800 with the SDR mod) are my favorite for gaming. And for everything else. I really want to try the Hifiman HE1000 Stealth as well, just need a lot more money first lol

Imo the 800 sounds better without that mod. I use Equalizer APO to change the sound.
